AUVSI advocates for unmanned systems from state to international levels. Visit the AUVSI website for news about these efforts.

Because the region represented by Virginia’s Ridge and Valley chapter of AUVSI has international leaders in the development, manufacturing and creative use of autonomous vehicle systems and components, there is also a need for regional advocacy.

The Ridge and Valley Chapter engages with state and local policy makers concerning the autonomous systems industry through Virginia’s Office of the Secretary of Technology and through various economic development organizations, including:

The Virginia Economic Development Program
The New River Valley Economic Development Alliance
The Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council
Virginia Tech’s Office of Economic Development

Joining an AUVSI chapter is a terrific way to help build a strong network to advocate for unmanned systems and autonomy. You might also consider joining and contributing to the Linked-In Group “Unmanned Vehicle Systems of Virginia.”
